Rosa Parks Chapter 2018

Youth-Centered Digital Platform

We have the largest youth-centered digital platform in the state which we leverage to organize our followers to grow from clicktivists to activists.

Statewide Leadership & Wellness Camps

We offer a statewide summer organizing camp and fall policy boot camp for young people where they find peer support, cultural healing, and skills to hone their leadership and advocacy.

Membership and Chapters

More than 20 and growing on campus-based groups across the state provide daily to weekly spaces for youth to connect, heal, learn, challenge, grow together, and lead campaigns to win change. Our collective efforts use culture to heal and create conditions instrumental to community well-being.

Statewide Youth Conference

Each Spring over 300 young people, from across the state, convene to learn about social determinants of health, how to advance campaigns, and how to leverage statewide partnerships to advance justice and equity.

In just 5 years, Brown Issues has:

Grown to 200 youth engaged weekly

20 chapters

“Brown Issues is where my “I can’t” turns into “I did” and my dreams turn into plans, which then turn into stories. Through my involvement in the Schools Not Prisons campaign, I now aspire to become a school board member and eventually the superintendent. We deserve better. ”
